Axient is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Software Engineer to join our team, providing critical support to the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office (AFSEO) at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and engineering, with a keen understanding of aerospace requirements and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment. *Must have an active or current and transferable DoD Secret security clearance. *

What you will do... Develop and maintain software applications supporting the SEEK EAGLE Office's missionCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Systems Engineering, Test Automation, and DevSecOps, in an Agile software development environment. Implement and manage GIT repositories and ensure code quality and version control. Utilize CI/CD tools and practices to streamline software development and deployment processes. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including system diagrams, user manuals, and troubleshooting guidesWork with cloud technologies and service providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Apply engineering principles and practices to solve complex technical challenges. Utilize containerization technologies like Docker to enhance software issues effectively. Skills you will need...

Minimum Requirements:

Relevant experience in the aerospace or defense industryKnowledge of aircraft and weapon Time Space Position Information (TSPI)Experience developing data algorithms using statistical principlesMust have an active or current and transferable DoD Secret security clearance.  Must be able to maintain the required clearance.Requires minimum of 7 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; OR 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's; OR 3 years of relevant experience with a Doctorate

Desired Experience:

Proficiency in programming languages such as .NET, Java, C#, and experience with Linux, Visual Studio/VSCodeFamiliarity with GIT repositories and version controlExperience working in Agile software development environmentKnowledge of Software Management and CI/CD toolsFamiliarity with cloud technologies and service providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create system diagrams, IDDs, user manuals, and troubleshooting guidesUnderstanding of engineering principles and practicesExperience with containerization (Docker)Self-motivated with excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
