PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Intermodal Asset Management Summer student will contribute to analytical and reporting functions within CPKC’s Intermodal Asset and Demand Management team.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist with analysis and reporting key performance indicators; Support the development and sustainment of decision support tools; Apply detailed analysis and critical thinking to find solutions to complex issues (inventory reporting, trucking services, equipment flows, supply/demand, equipment distribution); Compile and report out metrics for CPKC’s Senior Leadership; Work in conjunction with CPKC internal stakeholders to resolve systematic issues or find new opportunities for improvement.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of railway components and practices would be an asset Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making skills Strong data analysis experience Must be proficient with MS Office Excellent verbal and communication skills Strong leadership and technical skills Effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
