What You Can Expect
ENGIE is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our accounting team. The internship work term will be from January 2025 – May 2025, full-time/par-time work schedule working up to 40 hours per week.
As the intern in Houston, you will assist in the mapping process and gain hands-on experience in month-end closing activities and key accounting principles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in accounting and finance.
Support the accounting team in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries Assist in the mapping process to ensure accurate financial reporting Learn and apply key accounting principles and practices Help assist in prepare financial statements and reports Participate in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for analysis Review Balance sheet reconciliation and prepare summary of risk Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager

What You’ll Bring
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Details
You will work at Houston office with a hybrid schedule This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Hourly Range: $21.00 - $34.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
