Asset Management Intern, Chelsea\n

The MWRA MIS Department is seeking an Asset Management Intern to work on Physical Hardware and Software Inventory Audit, Research & Development and Data Entry administration. Candidate will update the existing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Database\/Spreadsheets with User Group identifiable information and location. The intern will develop various spreadsheets to track and document MWRA Assets. The Intern will perform data entry, verify assets location and custodian against MIS Asset Database. The intern will document and summarize the findings by asset location.\n

The Intern works under the supervision of the IT Asset Manager.\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nConduct Physical Inventory of Hardware, Software and Peripheral Devices \nUpdate Maximo Database Records\nReview Work Orders \nResearch, review and request new NIGP Codes\nReview, track and document assets findings by location\nDevelop Draft Presentation on State of MWRA Assets \nReview existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nTravel to various MWRA locations if required\nComparison Matrix on new product and services including RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) Tags & QR Code Tags\nGenerate reports on asset findings\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nCollege Computer Science, Information Technology, or Finance major\nProficiency with MS Office Suite. \nFamiliarity with asset management terminology and processes\nAbility to work independently\nAble to work under pressure and tight schedules\nAnalytical, strong organizational and problem-solving skills\nGood communication skills required\nMust hold Driver's License\n\n

WORKING HOURS:\n\nThe position requires 37.5 hours Monday through Friday.\nThis is a 3 month internship.\n\n
