Intern, Business Graduate Summer - S&S Contract Security and Requirements Operations, Onsite
What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a summer student intern to work with the various teams in the S&S Contract Security and Requirements Operations department to ensure effective flow down of security requirements to various entities across Sandia. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Assist with the development of strategy and program administration for Requirements Management, Policy and Controlled Documents. + Work in a team environment to make progress with security process management data organization and manipulation. + Assist with security reviews of subcontracting companies to Sandia. + Assist with the review and enhancements of Site Security Plans for security operations. + Review security procedures and policies to enable process compliance with DOE/NNSA Directives. + Partner with various security programs to develop security documents that ensure compliance with Department of Energy security requirements. + Accurately develop security-related information for members of the workforce through effective verbal or written communications. + Develop/implement an online filing structure and metrics for security related documents. Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package. Qualifications We Require: You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements: + Earned bachelor's degree + Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited related graduate program + Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 + Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer + Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship Note: If you have not yet started your graduate program, please apply to an undergraduate intern position. Qualifications We Desire: + Pursuing a degree in: Business Administration (Management, Marketing, Operations Management, etc.), Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or Security-related (National Security, Criminal Justice, Criminology, etc.), + Experience providing excellent customer service + Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast past paced, dynamic environment, with team members and independently with minimal supervision + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Visio and/or Publisher + Interest in national security + Experience developing presentation material and speaking/presenting to audiences greater than 20 + Experience leading projects and/or team initiatives + Experience with audits, inventories, or assessments + Experience with computer database management + Demonstrated strong organizational and critical thinking skills + Ability to conduct independent research and draft conclusions/recommendations Posting Duration: This posting will be open for application submissions for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, including the ‘posting date’.
