Pay Rate: $20/hour

Location: Cincinnati, OH Metro Area; remote work with some live meetings

 

Overview:

Business Insights is where innovation and technology intersect to create competitive advantage for EPC. 

This role is responsible for 1) Designing, developing and delivering high quality business decision support to improve Sales effectiveness and drive EPC business performance, and 2) ensuring system accuracy/reliability and data integrity to instill Commercial Team confidence in “one source of truth”.

 

Responsibilities:

Business Analytics & Reporting

MS PowerBI is the reporting platform that brings information to life through visualization and visual analytics, enabling better, faster business decisions that drive profitable growth. 

Maintain and drive adoption of a standard suite of business, managerial and governance reporting to leverage the full potential of the MS PowerBI platform.  Design and build new business reports and dashboards to address the ever expanding needs of the business and Sales Leadership. Ensure reporting accuracy and integrity. Organizational Development

Building data literacy and a data driven culture for market leading performance and competitive advantage

Support organizational change management initiatives to ensure Commercial Team utilization of BI system to improve business performance.

Working Relationships & Environment.

This position will establish and grow relationships across all departments of the Commercial Team (Sales, Trade Investment, Marketing and Sales Operations), as well as IT, Finance, Customer Service and Demand Planning.

 

Required Skills and Experience

Data and Analytics experience and in pursuit of a Data & Analytics Bachelor's degree.    Experience building reports and dashboards in MS PowerBI including knowledge of modeling techniques and the use of DAX language. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing PowerBI reports. Proficiency in database applications.   Experience in working with large amounts of disparate data sources and advanced analytic modeling capabilities. Understanding of common data warehousing methodology and architecture.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Self-sufficient, creative learner w/ intellectual curiosity and passion for data, analytics, and driving business insights. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work across multiple groups and levels in the organization in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Ability to take complex ideas, process, and analyses and transform them into simple, actionable insights. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI). Proficient in Snowflake. Experience with SQL and writing complex SQL queries.
