Job Title:  Test Lab Engineering Intern            

Location:     Colonial Heights, VA 

 

What we are looking for: 

 

We are looking for a Test Lab Engineering Intern who will be responsible for light engineering tasks in the areas of product testing and development with some product engineering team support. 

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:  

 

Support Test Lab staff with testing of commercial refrigerated display cases 

Develop and apply basic understanding of industry and regulatory test requirements 

Document and communicate test results to cross-functional teams 

Support Product Engineering with basic engineering tasks and testing requests 

 

What are the basic qualifications? 

 

Enrollment in 4-year Engineering degree program  

 

To be a great fit for the role:   

Basic knowledge of engineering and technical principals 

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability with mechanical/power tools is desirable 

Ability to solve practical problems where limited information exists.  

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations 

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals   

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public 

Some exposure to CAD is beneficial but the specific software platform is not important
