The purpose of this internship is to equip the intern with on-the-job training and work experience within various departments, preparing the intern for a career in the financial services industry. The intern will provide needed support to one or two departments throughout the duration of the internship by coordinating and completing special projects, while also participating in community service, networking, and training events.

 

Summer Internship program is located in Jackson, MS, or Birmingham, AL.

Must commit to a June 2, 2025 start date.

Responsibilities Complete assigned special projects within departments, working closely with department managersAttend designated training classesParticipate in community serviceAttend informational events within Trustmark designed to provide interns with general understanding of functional areas of the bankPresent an overview of department and projects worked on during internship program; provide an evaluation of departments, projects, and the overall program Qualifications Junior or Senior college level/MBAMajor: Accounting, Finance or Business relatedMinimum GPA of 3.00Basic computer skillsProficient use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint softwareGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to handle confidential and critical informationAble to work in a team and take direction from othersAble to give presentations on work experience topicsAbility to display customer service skillsAbility to perform basic math and/or accounting functions
