The North America team is currently looking for a **Design Engineering Intern** to join our **Storage Engineering team** based in **Assumption, IL** . This is a paid, full-time internship during the summer of 2025 at the Grain and Protein headquarters in Assumption, Illinois. Housing is provided for students who reside more than fifty miles from Assumption. Students are required to work forty hours per week on-site at our office in Assumption from May through August 2025. **Your Impact** Product Design + Communicate with Team Leader, Engineering Manager and Product Manager to understand and verify product requirements and cost targets. + Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineer/Quality Associate for manufacturing documentation and to assure successful manufacturing launch + Customer interface and feedback of key features + Computer based design and simulation and gain manufacturing inputs during Lean design activities + Analyze and identify risks to mitigate production issues through engineering and product managers + Support tech services **Your Experience and Qualifications** + Enrollment in a degree program in design engineer, agricultural engineering or related field + Must be registered as a full-time student + Must be able to commute to work location on a daily basis + Proficiency in Creo 3D **Your Benefits** + Complimentary housing at The Woods apartments at Millikin University in Decatur, IL, if you reside more than 50 miles from Assumption, IL **Your Workplace** You will be working an onsite role based in Assumption, IL.
