The MWRA has an opening for an internship to perform routine skilled and manual tasks as assigned. Assist operations and maintenance and skilled trades as required.\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \n\nPerform manual tasks required to assist grounds foreman, mechanics, electricians, masons, plumbers and other skilled tradesman.\nAssist with preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.\nAssist on upkeep and cleaning of MWRA equipment, grounds and roadways.\nPerforms general housekeeping and maintenance tasks.\nWorks as a member of a multi-person crew.\nPerforms related duties as required.\n\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nBasic reading, writing, mathematical and oral communication skills.\nAbility to follow written and oral instructions.\nWorking knowledge of the use of common tools, construction and sewer maintenance\nAbility to operate light automotive equipment and power driven grounds maintenance equipment.\nA valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicles Operators License.\n\n
