The Intern, Health & Safety will work closely with the Health & Safety and Environment Specialist supporting various Health & Safety related projects within the Saskatoon facilities.
The Internship Program will begin on May 12th and end August 15th, 2025.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER...
Assist in SOP/Procedure review and revisions: Help review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other procedures to ensure they are current and effective. Assist in Risk Assessments and Inspections in the facility: Participate in identifying potential hazards and evaluating risks within the facility, as well as conducting inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Assist in orientation for Summer Casual Employees: Help with the onboarding process for temporary summer employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. Assist in updates to lockout tag out procedures if needed: Support the revision and updating of lockout/tagout procedures, which are safety protocols used to ensure that machines are properly shut off and not started up again before maintenance or repair work is completed. Task/risk assessments of machinery.
YOU ARE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU...
Are currently pursuing a Certificate or Bachelor’s degree majoring in Health & Safety or a related field (Third or fourth year undergrad);Are active in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community; Detail-oriented, multitasker;Master Office suite programs and application; Ability to work independently and in a team to meet schedules/deadlines and identify, diagnose, solve problems;Are not afraid to get acquainted with your team and business partners, quickly building relationships; Are detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated and willing to take initiative; Have strong oral and written communication skills; Demonstrate strong organizational skills and autonomy; Have strong time management skills: you will manage priorities and multiple projects at a time all while ensuring to meet deadlines.This year, Saputo is celebrating 70 years of passion and craftsmanship!
