Job Description

This application is for a 12-week internship role from June - August 2025. Resume review begins in February 2025.

The Corporate Quality Knowledge and Content Management team is responsible for developing and delivering the strategies, methods and tools used to identify, capture, manage, store, and deliver all information assets (knowledge, content, and records) related to organizational processes within Pharmaceutical Operations and Technology (PO&T).

Position Description

The Knowledge and Content Management (KCM) Intern assist with promoting knowledge sharing and effective content management throughout the organization's operational business processes and systems.  The scope for this position will deal mainly with process and compliance related content (specifically documentation including governing policies, process documents, and other similar GMP documents) currently residing in the electronic document management system as well as managing GXP records throughout their lifecycle.  This role will also include facilitating a transition to a process-centric operating model, aligning process content with the appropriate business process. 

Primary responsibilities include:

Assist in the implementation and enhancement of core Knowledge Management (KM) and Content Management (CM) approaches and standardsMonitoring and reporting progress of KM and CM initiativesManagement and maintenance of KM and CM master and metadata (keeping enterprise metadata aligned with source, organizing content, ensuring appropriate ownership and oversight for content)Protecting, indexing, classifying and archiving GXP RecordsDigitally preserving vital records, records lifecycle managementManaging the process for translating GMP content needed in multiple languages.

Example projects may include:

Implementing a process optimization for records or document managementImplementing a new technology or capability in support of records or document managementManaging a project (as a project manager) for a small-scale project

QualificationsCreative and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills (thinks outside the box)Able to think strategically in terms of culture, behavior, business processes, and toolsGood appreciation of customer needs at both the operational and strategic levelExperience in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project and the use of macrosExperience with project management

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start dateBe currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Science, Communications, Biological/Life Sciences, Business, other related fields
