The Laboratory Operations Intern will support and enhance the day-to-day operations of the laboratory facilities. Assist in the labeling and confirmation of the asset information that corresponds the CMMS database. Assist in scheduled equipment maintenance and services to support the laboratory needs.
Work Model:Core Lab & Ops: This role typically requires that the majority of the work be conducted on-site.
Responsibilities: Support daily activities to supplement laboratory services for GMP/Non-GMP facilities. Assist in the management of inventory and replenishment within the labs. Assist in sample and material shipments. Collaborate with the team to manage inventory needs for onsite and offsite storage. Assist in equipment management and services. Requirements: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study in the Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, etc.), with a minimum of first/freshman year completed. Enrolled as a full-time student with plans to return to school in fall term. This role is required to be onsite 5 days each week. There may be travel required between the laboratory sites (150 Presidential Way, Woburn, MA and 19 Presidential Way, Woburn, MA- sites are across the street from each other) based on need. Available to work 40 hours/week during normal business hours. Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational skills. Flexible; adapts work style to meet organization needs. Meticulous attention to detail. Capable of completing assigned responsibilities and keeping manager informed of work status. Physical Demand Requirements: Stand for extended periods of time with periodic stooping / bending / kneeling Able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs. Climb ladders and stairs of various heights. Work in a lab environment requiring special protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body. This role requires the ability to wear personal protective equipment. Work in a controlled environment requiring GxP gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body. Certain tasks may require use of a respirator; medical clearance will be required in advance.#LI-AJ1
