The Library of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is seeking an Intern to assist the Library Supervisor in the following activities:\n\ncreating a metadata object description schema (MODS) for historical photographs in preparation for digitization\nclassifying, weeding, and digitizing an extensive research file collection\nassisting in the daily operation of a small, governmental Special Library.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nGather and record metadata for historic photograph digitization project in MODS \nOrganize, classify and digitize print documents from a print research files collection \nLearn daily library operations in a special library setting\nServe a wide variety of personnel in reference requests as needed\nProvide additional support to Library Supervisor as needed\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nEnrollment in an ALA-accredited Library and Information Science Master's degree program\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nWell-developed organizational skills with a thorough attention to detail\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team\n\nOTHER INFORMATION:\n\nWork Location: 2 Griffin Way, Chelsea, Massachusetts, 02150\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm (flexible)\nTime Frame: 6 month internship \n\nHow to Apply:\n
