The R&D Mechanical Engineering team develops hardware designs for New Product Development (NPD) as well as product improvements supporting the Breast & Skeletal Health Division.

Throughout the 10-12 weeks you'll have the opportunity to participate in the following:

Assist in prototype creation, build, evaluation, and iteration for various product designs.  Complete Solidworks Modeling and drawing updates.  Utilize Agile to create/modify parts and BOMs. Develop and execute engineering test plans to evaluate designs to requirements. 

We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Key qualifications include the following:

Able to work full-time over the summer months (May/June – August/ Sept) Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship Rising Junior or Rising Senior Majoring in Mechanical Engineering preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience or exposure to working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Desired: Experience in Solidworks Ability to work onsite at our Newark campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided

The hourly pay range for this role is $22 - $28 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
