The O&M Estimating & Analytics Intern will be part of Clearway’s O&M Estimating and Analytics team and will report to the Technical Services Senior Manager. The O&M Estimating and Analytics team specializes in forecasting operations and maintenance costs for wind, solar, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in development and operation. Additionally, the team develops and enhances tools that support benchmarking data/models and automate cost forecasts.
This position is part of the 10-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning in June 2025.
We are looking for current juniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, or a related technical field.
Throughout this summer internship program, you’ll get exposure to real projects and challenges while gaining first-hand professional experience. What You'll Be DoingTool Development
The O&M Estimating & Analytics intern will primarily be responsible for developing a Power BI tool to compile and visualize solar/BESS O&M forecasts that were developed previously and are added regularly. At the end of the internship, the O&M Estimating & Analytics Intern will present their final project to leadership.
O&M Cost Modeling and Benchmarking
The intern will learn about renewable energy (wind, solar, and BESS) project development/financing/operations and estimating operations and maintenance costs for each technology. The intern will support senior analysts in benchmarking actual O&M spending at Clearway’s plants to the cost models.
