It’s an exciting time to be part of Delta's Reservations
& Customer Care team as we **redefine how and where we serve customers andset new standards for the experiences we create** for customers as well as
thousands of Reservations and Care employees. These positions will help enable
that vision by bringing new corporate initiatives to life in our engagement
centers including enhanced digital self-service capabilities, new channel
platforms like a cloud-based phone system from Amazon and Apple Business Chat,
using virtual assistant to serve customers on demand, a new state-of-the-art
workforce management system to help us better forecast and staff to dynamically
changing demand as well as transformational projects in Learning, Specialist
Tools, Real-Time Service Recovery, Operations Management, and more.
Job Summary:
The Reservations Intern position will act as an internal
consultant for Reservations working on semester long projects in advancement of
divisional strategies and goals. These projects often require working
cross-functionally to identify opportunities and propose solutions to improve
both the customer and specialist experience. Interns are asked to use strong
critical thinking and interpersonal skills to conduct activities such as:
+ Track and analyze channel performance
+ Resolve product and project issues and risks
+ Perform extensive data analysis and collection
+ Identify process improvement opportunities
These large and complex projects may contain highly
confidential material and present moderate financial risk. The final project
deliverable is a capstone presentation given to division leaders highlighting
project lessons learned, impacts made, and recommendations going forward.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
+ Not enrolled in classes during the duration ofthe program
+ Must be able to work 14 consecutive weeks
+ Must be able to come into Corporate Headquartersin Atlanta 2 – 3 times a week
+ A strong team player, detail oriented, andperform well under pressure
+ Conveys professional image to all levels ofassociates
+ Strong written and verbal communication skillshighly preferred
+ Proficient in MS Office applications, includingExcel, Outlook, PowerPoint
+ Experience with simulation, modeling andstatistical analysis software is a plus
+ Must be willing to travel as required
+ _Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data._

+ _Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency._
+ _Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States._
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Possess technical skills, with an emphasis onSQL and any programming language
+ Completion or pursuit of Database, BasicProgramming, User Interface courses
+ Experience in previous corporate environments inpart-time or fulltime capacity
+ Data visualization tool knowledge (Power BI,Tableau, etc.)
