Get to Know the Team

The Fulfillment tech family is one of the pillars ensuring Grab to out-serve our customers and partners in different businesses and marketplaces across Southeast Asia. We are working on high throughput, real-time distributed systems that use advanced software engineering techniques to solve hundreds of millions of requests per day. You will be reporting to Senior Software Engineering Manager, Fulfilment. We are a distributed team in 5 different locations: Singapore, Beijing, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Romania.

Our mission is to offer the best products and experiences to our driver partners as to increase adoption and engagement of our services. Improve driver partner opportunities and efficiency to fulfill customer orders without fail, rain or shine. And to create efficient marketplaces by determining an price that is both sustainable and loved by our partners

Get to Know the Role

You will support the engineering team in developing backend services. You'll gain hands-on experience with backend architecture, system development, and cloud technologies to build efficient and scalable solutions. This is a paid internship role and is based onsite in Petaling Jaya.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

You will collaborate with teams to understand requirements.You will collaborate with teams to develop new features to serve our users better.You will write clean and maintainable code following best practices.You will help debug and improve existing backend services.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Only for candidates who are available to start in July 2025.Your studies as an Undergraduate in Software Engineering or Computer Science.Proficient in at least one programming language such as Golang, C++, C, C#, Java, and PythonKnowledge in database management systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
