Requisition ID: 17767 Employment Type: Intern Grade: NonExempt N7 Job Category: Launch Program / Interns Work Location: Davidson, NC (CSC) DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: + Gains industry knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments. + Actively participate in activities supporting digital operations, including process optimization, system enhancements, and data analysis. + Learn MSC's products, services, processes, and culture. + Engage in project management processes and support the implementation of digital initiatives. + Monitor customer feedback listening posts and analyze data to provide product teams with suggestions for improvements and identified pain points. + Proactively address issues identified through feedback to minimize the negative impact of any issues. + Develop knowledge and understanding of how the Digital Operations team utilizes technology to monitor and report on customer experience metrics. + Meet with customers to discuss their experiences and gather valuable insights into customer preferences, pain points, and emerging trends. + Contribute to creating a customer-centric culture by aligning stakeholders with our customers' needs. + Develop skills needed for a career in industrial distribution. + Supports assigned business manager with project work. + Presents intern project results to business leaders. + Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission. + Participation in special projects and perform additional duties as required. *INDICATES ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this job successfully an associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: + High School diploma required. + Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university or technical trade school. SKILLS: + Proficient use of Microsoft Office software required. + Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. + Excellent time management and organizational skills required. + Positive, high-energy approach to assignments and a willingness to learn quickly required.
