The Strategy Intern will be part of the Clearway Strategy Department and will report to the Director of Strategy. The Strategy team supports organic growth vectors, corporate development activities, continuous improvement projects, and strategic initiatives.
We are looking for senior or rising senior students currently pursuing an undergraduate-level degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or computer science, or for 1st year students pursuing a graduate degree in the same subjects.
Throughout this summer internship program, you’ll get exposure to real projects and challenges while gaining first-hand professional experience. At Clearway, you’ll gain access to an innovative and fast-paced work environment. You’ll also participate in networking and learning events with your fellow intern cohort.
What You'll Be DoingThe Strategy Intern primary responsibilities will include:
Provide project management, conceptual & analytical problem solving on key cross-functional projects. Become familiar with and conduct analyses in financial models. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on due diligence of new product introduction / new market entry complementary to core business segments. Perform ad-hoc quantitative analyses to support ongoing origination, development, and financing activities for projects. Assist in the preparation of detailed memos and presentations for senior management, executive leadership team, investment committees, or the board of directors. Conduct market analysis to identify new growth areas and merger & acquisitions targets. Maintain competitive market intelligence for the renewable energy industry. What You'll Bring Strong quantitative skills, proficient in MS Excel and MS Power Point, familiar/comfortable with financial models. Hands-on experience in programming AI Agents for data extraction use cases Ability to clearly communicate concepts and support hypotheses with data. Strong time management and organizational skills. Curiosity and eagerness to learn about renewable project development, financing structures, and power markets. Strong interpersonal skills. You’re willing to ask lots of questions, listen to your colleagues, and contribute your ideas. Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable. This means showing up, being present, and being eager to dive into the workday.
