Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic bachelor/master student to join our team as an intern in the field of sustainable HVAC systems. The focus of this internship is on experimental (testbed or laboratory) and data driven (data analytics and AI methods) development tasks on Residential or Commercial Air Conditioning systems (RACs or VRFs). Specifically, working on system level energy efficiency and anomaly detection analytics, application of AI/ML techniques for data analysis, visualization and validation. Successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties within corporate research center in Singapore:

Conducting literature research on HVAC systems, focusing on energy efficiency, anomaly detection, AI/ML applications, and control methodologies.Carry out experiments related to RAC or VRF performance and anomaly detection at different indoor and outdoor conditions in research lab/testbed.Analyze and interpret data using AI/ML techniques to improve system diagnostics and control strategies that leads to energy efficiency or quality improvement.Collaborate with other team members to advance project goals and implement findings into practical applications within our physical/digital products and solutions.Participate in group meetings and discussions related to the project or tasks.Prepare and present project updates to the team and other stakeholders.

QualificationsAble to work full time for a period of 6 months.Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Environmental engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Background/experience in thermodynamics, energy systems and/or related domains.Familiarity with AI/ML techniques and data analysis tools is highly desirable.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
