Navigating Responsibilities:
Performing Excel based financial analysis to disclose audited financial statements and managements reports of companies in an appropriate mannerAnalyzing quality of earnings and non-recurring itemsAnalyzing quality of the net debt and debt-like itemsAnalyzing cyclicality of company’s business and working capital trendsInvestigating contingent liabilities, off-balance sheet items and related party transactionsWhen appropriate, analyzing the business planSolving reconciliation issues between GAAP financial statements and management reportsResearching technical accounting topicsReviewing company's accounting policies for proper application of GAAPParticipating in discussions held with managementContributing to the report-writing processThe Ideal Candidate:
Current Degree Pursuit: Off-cycle (end-of-course) Internship. Courses in business administration / finance in one of the top leading Business or Engineering SchoolsPrevious Experience: Professional experience in Finance is required (Corporate Finance Department / Audit / Transaction services / M&A / ...).Computer proficiency and ability to maximize applications such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPointAnalytical Thinker: Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to master new tasks and industries quicklyDemonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrityTask Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environmentCommitment to obtaining outstanding resultsExcellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communitiesLanguage Skills: Excellent French and English required
