The Intern, Transmission & Grid Integration will be part of the Clearway Transmission & Grid Integration team and will report to the Manager, Transmission & Grid Integration. The Transmission & Grid Integration team collaborates closely with electric utilities, guides internal teams through evolving interconnection policies and tariffs, and fosters strong external relationships to enable successful interconnections. This position is part of the 10-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning in June 2025.
We are looking for a candidate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power/energy systems.
Throughout this summer internship program, you’ll get exposure to real projects and challenges while gaining first-hand professional experience. At Clearway, you’ll gain access to an innovative and fast-paced work environment. You’ll also participate in networking and learning events with your fellow intern cohort.

What You'll Be DoingThe Transmission & Grid Integration Intern will primarily be responsible for working on transmission / interconnection analysis and project deliverables for Clearway’s generation interconnection projects. The assigned projects will be related to a diverse set of considerations relevant to grid integration such as transmission modeling, policy research, generation and load interconnection process and exploring possible co-location of generation and load.
The intern will present the results of the assigned project to leadership at the end of the summer.
