The internship experience enables you to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group Service Market Logistics North America (SML NA) by working on projects for the Backorder Recovery team. Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full-time professionals work together on projects within their selected organization. The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Volvo Group SML NA. The internship position is for the Summer of 2025, and the specific work days and hours will be flexible, but agreed upon with the hiring manager. **What you will do** • Support current Backorder Recovery projects. • Support Backorder Recovery strategic objectives. • Successfully complete training regarding backorder recovery and inventory management processes. • Assist with the planning and expediting of parts to our distribution centers and dealers. • Assist with monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators and continuous process improvements. • Work with suppliers to obtain relevant information. • Prepare and present formal presentations to colleagues and management. **Minimum Education and Experience** + Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field, at an accredited school. + Applicants should be interested in pursuing a professional career in Logistics/Supply Chain Management. + Applicants must have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75. + Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint). + As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required. **Who are you?** • Analytical and problem-solving skills • Verbal and written communication skills • Interpersonal skills, with experience in a teamwork environment • Action-oriented • Customer Service • Presentation skills • Peer Relationships • Integrity and Trust • Standing Alone • Perseverance • Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain concept **Ready for the next move?** At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth.
