Who we areOur motivated and highly competent Business Control team identifies waste and loss in our end to end processes. Working closely together with other departments we support kaizen projects to improve operations and processes. We evaluate capital investments, analyze current operations, evaluate various operating scenarios, interact with suppliers, provide valuable insight and work cross functionally to improve all aspects of operations within our large industrial facility.
We are a deliberately collaborative and close knit team working with other teams both inside and outside of LVO. You will be working with your team in Business Control to provide financial support to departments within the manufacturing business area. Some of the types of activities that you may be involved in:
• Experimenting with business intelligence, data management, visualization, AI application, statistics and accounting to provide new insight into operations
• Assisting in the analysis, investigation, and research supporting the organization's financial planning and reporting
• Preparing and analysing operating expenses, standard costs, project costs, and key performance indicators
• Supporting the monthly closing process
• Participating in studies and implementation of capital investments and cost reduction initiatives
• Maintaining accurate fixed asset records

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
