Key Responsibilities:

United’s Customer Support department is dedicated to solving the complex problems our customers experience during their travel journey and supporting our operation. As an intern in Customer Support, you’ll be a part of a team that keeps United’s 24/7 operation running.

The Customer Support intern will have a cross-functional role with skills and responsibilities that include:

· Communication and leadership skills

· Ability to clearly define a problem, communicate verbally and in writing, and demonstrate expertise in your area of ownership

· Organizing cross functional teams

· Help to align multiple stakeholder teams toward a common goal

· Project management

· Ability to organize information related a project including delivery dates

· Data analysis

· Use data to find insights, solve problems, and prioritize your work

Qualifications

The customer support intern will also learn about working with an operational workforce. This intern will get front-line experience with the agents who take customer calls and solve problems real time in our contact centers. Success in this role will include understanding and addressing the needs of both our customers and our employees.

What’s needed to succeed:

· Current undergraduate student demonstrating strong academic performance

· Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others

· Track record of outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)

Additional Information:

· Position will be hybrid based in Chicago, IL

· Intern duration is 12 weeks over Summer 2025

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now and in the future

· Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

· Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
