Intern: Finance and Business Control (Summer 2025)

Summary

Volvo Construction Equipment Finance & Business Control contributes to realizing the vision of the Volvo Construction Equipment North America by developing and providing a wide range of business control services. You will be part of a global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals working with energy, passion and respect for the individual to build the world we want to live in.

Position Description

This internship is for the Summer of 2025, but may be extended through the 2025/2026 school year upon mutual agreement.  You will be supporting the Construction Equipment North American Business Control team, particularly with Accounts Payable processing and the development, implementation, and refinement of business process controls.  This is a hybrid position that requires half of the time worked to be performed in the Shippensburg office.

Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

Key Performance Indicator tracking

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, or  Business Administration, at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to starting of the internship Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Local to the Shippensburg area. Critical Compentencies

Understanding of the 3-Way matching principle for Accounts Payable

Strong team player who can work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

Excellent organization and communication skills

Strong problem solving skills

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00.The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
