What You Will Do:

The Guidehouse Internship Program staffs interns on real world projects, showcases the Guidehouse culture, and provides Interns with a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work with teams and provide real-time deliverables in support of the clients. Each Intern is paired with a Buddy to serve as a resource that can assist them in navigating their Guidehouse experience.

Highlights of our Internship Program include:

10-week experience in the Summer of 2025 (Anticipated to start Monday, June 2nd  and run until Friday, August 8th)Learning & Development Sessions (both E-learning & Instructor-Led)Performance management, including developing goals and holding Mid-Point and Final EvaluationsNetworking & Social Activities and EventsCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern EventIntern Speaker SeriesCollaborative Group Projects

Our Commercial Sustainability practice assists large corporations with transition strategies and partners with clients on their sustainability journeys as the energy transformation takes hold and decarbonization strategy and implementation gain a stronger focus.

As an intern, you will work in a team to create and present quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams.  You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.

Key responsibilities may include:

Performing technical and economic analyses; data collection; spreadsheet creation and managementAssessing energy efficiency and renewable energy technologiesBuilding and technology energy simulation modellingField performance measurement and data collection of building and industrial process energy systemsProviding detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activitiesAssessing technologies and analyzing technology trendsDeveloping technology strategies for utilities, government, and energy companiesCommunicating solutions and new strategies


What You Will Need:

Minimum Years of Experience: 0 yearsMinimum Degree Status Required: Graduating with an undergraduate or advanced degree between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the countryNo sponsorship is available for this position


What Would Be Nice To Have:

Degree/Majors Preferred: Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related disciplineStrong interest in the Energy and/or Sustainability IndustryProficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with economic and financial analysis and researchProactive and independent work styleAbility to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

The annual salary range for this position is $59,900.00-$89,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
