Purpose:

The Intern – PhD Statistician will support the Clinical Statistics team on a project intended to bring innovation to clinical trial design or answer questions arising from clinical trial data. The successful individual will work with clinical research associates/clinical data associates, statistical analysts and project statisticians.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate primarily with the statistical team on problem solving and analytics in Clinical Trial or Real-World Evidence setting (e.g., Modelling and simulations for method selection to address a specific scientific question; Complex data visualizations; Network meta-analyses).Maintain proficiency with respect to statistical programming and statistical methodology and in applying new and varied methods.Perform work in full compliance with assigned curriculum(s) and be responsible for following applicable corporate, medical, local, and departmental policies, procedures, processes and training.

Minimum Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a PhD program specializing in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field (at least close to completing the second year)

Additional Preferences:

Proficiency in a statistical programming language and systems/software e.g., R and SASInterpersonal/teamwork skills for effective interactionsSelf-management skills with a focus on results for timely and accurate completion of competing deliverablesCreativity and innovationDemonstrated problem solving ability and attention to detail.
