Summary Job title: Intern Job ID: 202498010001 Department: Nebraksa - 3E Location: NE-Omaha Description Summary: Our internship is designed for candidates who are sales oriented and interested in sales or management. Our approximately 12 week internship in the summer of 2025 is paid and will provide candidates a working knowledge of the industry by exposing them to all aspects of the electrical distribution field through a combination of mentoring and on-the-job training. The program requires a strong commitment from each participant and encompasses, but is not limited to, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, counter sales, sales and interpersonal skills, customer relations and CED business philosophy. Our interns will typically have the opportunity to work on special projects such as market sales or customer analysis, as well as, other projects custom designed by the management team and the intern. This application is for internships in Nebraska but can also be used for candidates living in Nebraska looking for other opportunities in Iowa or elsewhere in the United States with CED/3E. Reports to: Profit Center Manager Minimum Qualifications: + Must be at least 18 years of age + Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record + Pursuing a 4 year college degree (business preferred) with graduation NO LATER THAN December 2026 + Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future) + Regular and consistent attendance Preferred Qualifications: + Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills + Experience in a warehouse/blue collar setting + Experience in sales + Leadership experience & ability + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software + Detail oriented + Ability to solve problems + Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time Working Conditions: Conditions vary based on the intern's current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.
