Intern

Early careers take off with United We’ve been recognized as both a top employer for Gen Z talent by Handshake and a top 100 internship program by Yellow and Way Up. Interns at United enjoy a wealth of benefits, including a robust mentorship program, exclusive travel privileges, and engaging social events to help foster a vibrant and connected community of early career professionals. Our program is designed to empower you with the skills and connections necessary to launch a successful career. We hope you join us at United, where your contributions will take flight and your career journey will soar.

We’re not just in the business of transporting people. We’re also in the business of moving cargo. As a major provider of air freight services, our Cargo team transports everyday electronics and automotive parts, to perishable goods, life-saving organs, vaccines and even baby formula.

Cargo has one intern opportunity available in the following field. Successful candidates will be placed in an opening that aligns with their interests.

Cargo Logistics SupportServices– Two summer intern positions on the Cargo Logistics Support Services teams will be responsible for projects that make the $2B United Cargo business possible. This will include further optimizing 18,000 Unit Load Device (ULD) assets, Cargo’s $70M trucking network, managing millions in capital investments, pushing cost savings and/or minimizing cost increases, statistical modeling and forecasting, optimizing warehouses, driving accessorial revenues, mitigating claims, and negotiating contracts. From process improvements, to operational performance, to cost control, these internships will cover a wide breadth of projects across the global United Cargo organization.

United values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply. While having the “desired” qualifications make for a stronger candidate, we encourage applicants who may not feel they check ALL of those boxes We are always looking for individuals who will bring something new to the table
