DHL Global Forwarding Angola has an opening for an Intern where you will provide day-to-day administrative support with readily available advice for AFR Ops/CS processes and activities to deliver flow of goods and information across the customer’s global supply chain utilizing air transportation, maximizing profitability and optimizing utilization of business and human assets in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies. In this Intern position
You will engage with Customers under direct/close supervision for shipment information and incident/complaint management. You will check that correct costs and revenues are captured against customer’s profile and inform about cost/revenue issues. You will perform administrative shipment level activities under direct/close supervision including receipt of customer booking, documentation requirements, and all related local and international transport. You will manage shipments under guidance in line with the customer service commitment. You will identify, gather and inform about exceptions/operational irregularities. You will understand, follow and support to improve shipment data quality. You will follow necessary regulatory compliance procedures relating to commodity and locations for shipments. You will route and/or assign shipments under supervision to relevant consol as guided, ensuring it meets our customers service commitment and maximized our profits. You will prepare invoices, and necessary back-up documentation ensuring customer invoice timeliness and accuracy. You will use available tools to monitor and highlight issues with performance. You will support and interact primarily with colleagues of own team. You will communicate information that requires little explanation or interpretation. You will address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships.
