I. Job SummaryInteracts with and conducts various duties and responsibilities for one or more functional teams in order to develop new skills and learn new areas of the business. Interns gain practical experience, relevant to their field of study, prior to college graduation.
The WM NCN Summer Internship Program is a 10 week paid internship that provides experience in our field operations, along with exposure to our Senior Area Leadership Team through focused project work. Interns are placed to work in one of three admin offices located in Sacramento CA, Oakland CA, and Reno NV. Throughout the course of the internship, you will receive exposure to our business, through tours of our Landfills, Material Recycling Facilities, and Collection sites.
We are looking for ambitious students who meet the following criteria:
Currently a Full-time student in a 4 year College or University. Junior or Senior Standing All majors accepted. Projects will be focused in the areas of Operations, Environmental Protection, Sales, Government Relations, and General Management. Desire in pursuing a career with an Environmental Services company post-graduation in Northern California or Nevada Must have a reliable form of transportation. This position requires travel to various locations as part of the internship experience. This includes site visits, tours, and networking events.II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility.
