Your Challenge

EXP is currently seeking an Intern for its Chicago office. The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of junior or senior engineers with a focus on a variety of transportation and site civil related projects performing hydraulic/hydrologic analyses and designing appropriate drainage systems in close coordination with Roadway, Site Civil, and Structural Engineers. The environment is fast-paced and growth oriented, ideally suited for individuals who like to take charge and are driven to gain experience working in a consulting engineering firm. Candidates can have interest in any number of civil engineering disciplines and work may be assigned as needed without regard for specialized areas of interest.

Your Responsibilities

Assist with on-site inspections and limited field assignments; Utilize CAD programs to assist in the preparation of plan drawings and details; Perform rudimentary calculations under the direction of a licensed engineer; Assist with preparation of technical specifications and reports; Perform material quantity take-offs; Organize design calculations Assist project teams in meeting deadlines as needed.
