Paladin Technologies
As an Intern/Co-Op Student, you will perform administration tasks, and assist various teams as needed. This position works in conjunction with Systems Analysts and stakeholders from other business units, using Paladin Technologies’ processes and tools to complete assigned tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Assist systems analysts on installation work, and eventually take on independent tasks.
+ Assist the PMO with D365 administration duties, project coordination and other duties to act as a Project Administrator and Project Coordinator
+ Work with the service team to clear backlogs on Work Orders as required
+ Assist in the warehouse with counts, shelving of items and other sundry duties
+ Occasional work in the field where appropriate to assist with service calls and installations.
+ Multi-task and manage time effectively to prioritize projects, tasks, and meetings as necessary
+ Develop productive relationships with clients and key stakeholders which will build respect and confidence in the organization’s capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A fundamental understanding of the building technologies and/or IT industries, including an awareness of complimentary products, technologies, trends, and the general application of physical security, audio-visual, structured cabling, and networking/server technologies would be an asset
+ A strong command of the English language supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ The ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and projects and be responsive to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
+ Post-secondary education from an accredited college, university, or technical institution in Business, Construction Management, Electronics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
+ Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
+ Motivated self-starter with ambition to independently research new technologies as well as engineering and business methodologies/concepts
DEMONSTRATED PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
+ Ability to work in a high volume atmosphere
+ Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision.
+ Ability to organize workload for effective implementation, including the ability to multi-task while under deadlines or time constraints
+ Excellent interpersonal skills including customer service skills
+ Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
+ Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
+ Ability to function as an effective team member.
+ Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
+ Has a strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, security system functions and operations. Good subcontracting skills required.
+ An understanding of job financial reports and the ability control costs in the handling of projects.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
+ Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers
+ Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment
+ Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites
WORKING CONDITIONS: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
+ The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate
+ Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, to manage the expectations and deliverables. Sites range from general office environments to new construction.
