GM Financial is looking to hire an ABS Data Analytics and Reporting intern to join our Emerging Data Analytics and Technologies team looking for experience with Oracle SQL or PL/SQL coding needed for ABS Reports or a developer with an understanding of ETL development that is looking for experience with deploying various SQL codes into production. This engineer will join a senior team of engineers to learn how to research and analyze financial data and open source frameworks that are suited for large amounts of data and extract meaningful business information which can be deployed both in on-prem and cloud environments. The Engineer will have an opportunity to develop proof of concept on various ETL Coding using Oracle SQL or PL/SQL, Informatica, SAS and reports creation using tools like Power BI, Cognos. Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4 point scale) overall GPA. Junior or Senior classification preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders. Experience with Oracle SQL/PL SQL Coding Exposure to SAS, Informatica, Unix Scripting Exposure to ETL Methodologies, Data warehousing Concepts Exposure to Data mining/analysis, Data governance and data architecture and reporting Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills required. Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently or in a team setting. Previous internships considered a plus.
