The PositionWe are looking for enthusiastic student who is keen to participate in the development of the forefront technology applied to the electron microscopy field.
The Intern - Applications Scientist works at the intersection of the development, scientific community, and customer support. The Intern is involved in technical discussions, explores, and tests new solutions to enhance the systems capability, develops detailed in-depth understanding of the application of electron microscopes.
This person collaborates with Applications, Technology, Systems and Software groups to ensure that product requirements are well understood, developed, implemented, and thoroughly tested.
ResponsibilitiesParticipation in advanced development projects in the field of electron microscopy and applications work with FIB-SEM systems.Testing of workflows, new system features and solutions, reporting the results.Contribution to scientific and other publications (applications notes, papers, conference proceedings).Gaining detailed knowledge of charged particle systems with focus on applications.Good independent judgment and thinking to develop creative ways or in selecting known methods and techniques for acquiring solutions.RequirementsThe position is ideal for a university student with
Bachelor or MSc in a technical field.Curiosity about a work on FIB-SEM instruments.Prior experience operating SEM and FIB-SEM systems, knowledge of optical microscopy would be beneficial.Familiarity with Python is an advantage.Competent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Result oriented, teammate, used to work in dynamic environment, flexible.Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
