Through ASRC, we are a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), and we also offer 8(a) options. **Position Summary** RSI is recruiting for an Intern – Atomic Legacy Cabin who will assist with providing interpretive and educational programs to visitors and support the interpretive center’s staff and other Legacy Support (LMS) employees. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation of a temporary public history exhibit, interacting with students and visitors, collection and supplies management, and other day-to-day operations. **Job Title:** Intern – Atomic Legacy Cabin **Location(s):** Grand Junction, CO **Status:** Full-Time **FLSA:** Non-Exempt **Hiring Range:** $20.28 per hour This position is required to travel 10% of the time. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Completion of content creation for a temporary exhibit related to the site’s unique WWII and Cold War era history. + Assist with daily operations, outreach and public on- and off-site programming. + Shadow and provide project support to ALC’s interpretive staff. + Maintain and organize program supplies. + Other duties as assigned. **Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience** + 60 credit hours toward an undergraduate degree in a Biological, Historical, or Environmental major. + No years of relevant experience required **Licenses and Certifications** + Valid Driver’s License **Required Skills and Abilities** + Ability to interpret public history information to the public and interpret to with a wide variety of audiences and age groups. + Schedule flexibility – able to work most weekdays, occasional weekends and evenings. + High degree of ingenuity, flexibility, team orientation, collaboration, creativity, and innovation. + Perform work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including temperatures below 32 degrees and above 90 degrees. + Understand and adhere to federal and contractor regulations, policies, and procedures for safety, communication, and operations. + Comfortable using computer technology including the Microsoft Windows operating system + Ability to learn and work in a hands-on environment (List required skills and abilities) **Clearance and Health Requirements** + Criminal Background Check + Pre-placement Drug Screening + Fit for Duty Test (if applicable) **Essential Physical Requirements** Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly.
