Intern - Connectivity Drivers
Job Description SummaryOur Connectivity Driver Software team is looking for a summer intern to work on software driver development tasks and testing activities. This is your opportunity to learn about the practical functionality of clinical parameters and different kind of medical devices.

For this reason, the hospital devices need to be tightly interconnected. The clinical data connections are built using the connectivity drivers that our SW team develops. The drivers connect various GE HealthCare and Non-GE HealthCare medical devices to the hospital’s digital ecosystem. The drivers acquire measurement data and make it available to the network, which alerts the caregiver if needed.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities:

Supporting the Connectivity Software Driver development and testing. Develop and execute manual testing for different medical device connectivity solutions (for example patient monitors, anesthesia machines and ventilators) – You can learn about the practical functionality of clinical parameters and devices.

Participate in defining the practical test cases for clinical data transfer in Internet of Medical Things Digital Ecosystem (IoMT) -> You can learn how the clinical data is handled and stored in hospitals.

Participate in documentation and other Scrum team activities per team priorities -> You can learn about healthcare engineering development processes.

Participate in documentation and other Scrum team activities per team priorities. -> Become a trusted and reliable collaborator.

Actively co-operate with different stakeholders to progress with the work.

Qualifications/Requirements

On-going studies in Computer Science, BioIT, or related field, preferably second-year or third-year student.

Eager and quick learner.

Persistent mindset is essential, not afraid to fail and learn from it.

Proactive attitude to find your ways with complex tasks.

Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

EU work permit.

Desired Characteristics

Technology enthusiast.

Interest the health technology and healthcare.

Hands-on experience in scripting or programming

Good communication skills.
