Your role and responsibilities

ABB is a leading innovator in the field of cybersecurity, dedicated to protecting digital assets and en-suring the integrity of our clients’ data. We are seeking a motivated and talented intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.Scope of Internship: As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will work with our expert team to explore and address critical security challenges within a Red Hat OpenShift sandbox environment. Your focus will be on:•\tHandling and Preventing Privilege Escalation: Learn and implement strategies to prevent unau-thorized access and control within systems.•\tMitigating Lateral Movement: Develop techniques to detect and stop the spread of threats across networked systems.•\tCombating Malware and Botnets: Gain experience in identifying, analyzing, and neutralizing malicious software and botnet activities.Key Responsibilities:•\tAssist in setting up and maintaining a secure Red Hat OpenShift sandbox environment.•\tConduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.•\tDevelop and implement security policies and procedures.•\tMonitor and analyze security logs and alerts.•\tParticipate in incident response and forensic investigations.•\tCollaborate with the cybersecurity team to develop innovative solutions to emerging threats.What we offer:•\tHands-on experience with cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies.•\tMentorship from experienced cybersecurity professionals.•\tA collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications for the role

Qualifications:\tCurrently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\tBasic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.\tFamiliarity with Red Hat OpenShift or similar container platforms.\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\tExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.\tEagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.\tA strong command of the English language, both verbal and written, is necessary for effective communication.
