Position Summary: We are looking for an EHS Intern in assisting the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team within the manufacturing facility by conducting safety inspections, supporting training initiatives, analyzing data, investigating incidents, and helping to maintain compliance with regulatory standards, all while gaining hands-on experience in industrial safety practices and environmental regulations within a production setting. Key responsibilities may include: + Safety Audits and Inspections: Performing routine safety inspections of manufacturing equipment, work areas, and processes to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues. + Incident Investigation: Assisting in investigating workplace accidents and near misses, identifying root causes, and developing corrective action plans. + Training Support: Developing and delivering safety training materials, conducting employee safety orientations, and assisting with ongoing safety training programs. + Hazard Assessments: Conducting job safety analyses (JSA) to identify potential hazards associated with specific tasks and recommending control measures. + Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting, analyzing safety data to identify trends, generate reports, and present findings to management. + Environmental Monitoring: Assisting with environmental monitoring activities, such as waste management tracking, air quality sampling, and spill response. + Compliance Support: Ensuring adherence to relevant EHS regulations and company policies by reviewing documentation and identifying areas for improvement. + Project Assistance: Contributing to EHS improvement projects, such as developing new safety procedures or implementing ergonomic changes. + Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with production teams, engineering, maintenance, and human resources to address EHS concerns. Education: Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of safety regulations, industrial hygiene principles, and environmental compliance requirements. Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Microsoft Office Proficiency: Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create reports and presentations.
