Job Description:

As an Applications Engineer Intern in the Data Center Solutions Division, you will be assisting the Applications team in providing technical support, writing applications notes, setting up lab equipment to analyze and recreate customer system problems, issuing device / data sheet errata, embedded firmware debug/development, managing customer deliverables, training videos, and providing technical support.  You must be able to work independently, and in a team environment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering program.Work experience through co-op work terms.Basic understanding of computer architecture.Scripting or automation knowledge (Python, Java, Tcl, other).Good writing and communication skills.SW programming experience (Java) and C.Experience with installing OSes (Linux and Windows), setting up hardware and drivers.

Desired

Experience with driver development / embedded FW development.Experience with Java NetBeans or Tcl/Tk scripting language is an asset.Familiarity with storage and protocols such as NVME, SAS/SATA, SCSI, TCP/IP is an asset.Familiarity with high speed design and signal integrity concepts is an asset.Experience with board-level debug & bring-up.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $19.00 - $30.00 per hour.*
