Intern - Engineering Documentation

The Engineering Documentation Intern will be responsible for developing, updating, and organizing work instructions for manufacturing and engineering processes. This role will ensure that undocumented processes are properly documented, existing instructions are revised as needed, and all approved work instructions (WIs) are linked into Cumulus modules. The intern will work closely with engineers, technicians, and quality teams to ensure that instructions are clear, accurate, and accessible for operational use.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Create new work instructions for undocumented processes Update existing work instructions based on engineering feedback and process improvements Submit work instructions through Agile for approval and manage revision tracking Link approved work instructions into Cumulus modules for easy accessibility Collaborate with engineers and production staff to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness Conduct document control reviews to maintain consistency and compliance with company standards Assist in standardizing templates and formatting for work instructions Support other engineering documentation tasks as required

Education & Experience

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, Manufacturing, or a related field Experience with technical documentation or process improvement projects is a plus Familiarity with document management systems (Agile, Cumulus) is beneficial

Skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to write clear and concise technical instructions Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and production personnel

Ability to lift 25lbs

Walk/stand up to 8 hours a day
