Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. has an Intern-Engineering opening based in Houston, TX.  The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the SmartRAID and SmartHBA solutions product teams with embedded firmware, OS drivers, and SW tools related projects and activities.  In this role, you will be working within a team of other software engineers delivering industry-leading storage products for the Enterprise and Data Center environments.  You will work closely with firmware, OS driver, SW tools, and test teams to help deliver complete solutions.

Responsibilities:

Write code and documentation related to assigned projects

Present project materials to peers as a part of design and code review processes

Replicate test environment and reported issues with appropriate system HW and SW using reference documentation and procedures

Requirements/Qualifications:

Currently working within a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

1-2 years experience/coursework with C/C++ programming languages

Familiar with standard office productivity software, e.g. Microsoft Office products

Enthusiasm for understanding complex systems, problem solving, and driving resolution of assigned tasks
