Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture has an exciting opportunity to build a proof of concept for our Application Portfolio Management system. The APM is critical to the company In that it assesses our current set of applications within the company. It determines which are fit for modernizing on cloud platforms and which may need further investment to be ready. The intern will be helping EA create dashboards that compare the application’s business and technical value and will assist our architects in developing appropriate roadmaps for their technology stack. Specifically, the intern will help ensure data is imported into the APM tool to evaluate application fitness and generate a sample dashboard from the APM tool that will be used in portfolio evaluation.The person in this role will assist with installing, configuring, and evaluating candidate software for the Application Portfolio Management (APM) System within GM Financial. The ideal candidate for this role would need: JOB DUTIES Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products like Excel and Word. Familiarity with JSON, XML, and CSV formats. Familiarity with one or more non-browser-based API clients (such as Postman, SoapUI, cURL, etc...). Basic knowledge of one or more programming and/or scripting languages such as (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#). Basic knowledge of cloud-based and SaaS products Import data management into the APM tool, manage users/access, and generate reports Qualifications What makes you a dream candidate? Working knowledge of business, application, data and technology modeling a plus (eg, UML, BPMN, ArchiMate) Working knowledge of or practical experience with architecture frameworks a plus (eg, TOGAF, Zackman, DoDAF) Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders. Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required. Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently or in a team setting. Education & Experience Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4 point scale) overall GPA Junior or Senior classification preferred GM Financial does not provide sponsorship for a work visa status for this position.
