Intern Events Specialist

Are you passionate about connecting with college students and creating memorable experiences? We're looking for an Intern Events Specialist to lead the planning and execution of dynamic campus and internal events for our College Relations program. With around 300 recruiting events a year and exciting large-scale summer happenings, you’ll play a key role in amplifying our presence on campuses nationwide.

This position is located at our Arden Hills, MN Corporate Headquarters (hybrid work arrangement each week)

What You’ll Do:

Career Fairs & Events: Collaborate with our campus recruiters to strategize, manage registrations and execute engaging events.

Student Club Partnerships: Be the go-to person for key student organizations. Build relationships and create opportunities for collaboration that really resonate with students.

Sponsorship Initiatives: Spearhead impactful programs tied to our investments in early talent, such as key campus career weeks and diversity conferences. You will:

Research fresh opportunities to boost Land O’Lakes’ brand visibility.

Manage spend and resources like a pro.

Make decisions with internal teams on how we participate and evaluate the ROI of our partnerships.

Track success metrics and share insights on what’s working

Summer Intern Programming: Drive the development of enriching experiences for our interns, focusing on professional growth, community service, and networking. You will:

Plan and execute our in-person summer intern orientation and wrap-up events.

Organize thoughtful schedule of events for our interns.

Keep everything on budget while delivering awesome experiences.

Campus Engagement: Partner with internal resources to curate content raising awareness of Land O’Lakes among students. This could include:

Engaging professional development sessions.

Interactive activities that showcase what we’re all about.

Collaborating with internal teams to boost our social media presence and connect with students.

What We’re Looking For:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.

3+ years in a fast-paced event planning role, preferably in college recruiting or university career services.

Flexibility to travel to college campuses and events (20-30% travel, especially in the fall and spring).

Strong planning, communication, and customer service skills.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.

Experience managing and executing various events simultaneously.

Confidence in presenting or leading training sessions.

Salary Range: $68,000-$100,00
