Job Scope:
Would you like to elevate your accounting skills and make a meaningful impact? As an Internal Controls Intern at Liberty Hardware, you will fill a pivotal role that provides opportunities for personal and professional development while contributing to Liberty Hardware through assisting in managing the internal controls testing effort. This includes aiding in updating internal controls documentation such as ICFR Process Narratives and the Risk Assessment Report (Risk and Control Descriptions) under the supervision of the ICM. It is crucial to ensure that all documentation pertaining to Liberty's internal controls testing program remains current and accurately portrays the prevailing environment. Your support in this aspect will be invaluable in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of Liberty's internal controls framework.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the ICM by working with the current process and control owners to review and update all their process narratives in preparation for an internal audit review.Update additional documentation, such as the Tester Bios, the Segregation of Duties (conflicting transactions), Critical Reports, Significant Spreadsheets and service organization listings.Conduct internal controls testingOpportunities:The intern will also be asked to participate and/or assist in several additional opportunities, including:Help the ICM with the management of the SOP review process a maintenance of the SOP Library.Updating ICM’s Compliance SOPs.Assist with inventory accuracy improvement efforts (including the observation of the Cycle Count Program)Requirements and Key Competencies:
