Job purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Finance and Analytics teams. The Finance Intern will take direction and work in close collaboration with the Senior Manager – Financial Planning and Analysis to learn key concepts in managing finance processes, customer analytics, and planning and analytic tools.   

 

Duties and responsibilities

Support financial forecasting process such as OPEX, Revenues, and Working Capital componentsSupport monthly reporting and variance analysis (actuals vs budget or forecast); collaborate with accounting counterparts to understand resultsAssist in the creation and maintenance of commercial analytic tools (reports and dashboards)Assist with the implementation of new Financial Planning and Analysis tool and MS Power BI application (report development, data accuracy, process development, training plan)Shadow the Manager and Senior Director on key business analytics to learn Melinta’s sales model / strategy, and business acumen

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Full Time (Summer) / 35-40 hours per week
