Intern - Global Communications

The Policy Communications intern will be a key, active member of the Policy Communications team, focused on supporting the team’s efforts to advance Micron’s policy work in key regions.

Responsibilities Include:

Support the policy communications team’s implementation of a global policy communications strategy to execution across integrated channels, including KPI-setting and measurement.Draft various communications materials such as quotes, press releases, messaging briefs, etc.Support the content creation and management of the @MicronPolicy X account to meet benchmarked goals of followers and engagement.Attend congressional hearings and think tank events focused on semiconductor, manufacturing, commerce, and national security issues and provide summary recaps.Monitor key policy activities and industry news; make recommendations on possible areas of engagement to support government and public affairs team priorities.  Partner with global communications and marketing, digital and social to amplify narrative and related stories.Copy edit and format internal and external products.Other responsibilities as assigned.


Desired Qualifications:

Interest or previous experience in government and/or the technology, defense, semiconductor, supply chain (automotive, industrial, manufacturing, consumer electronics) industry. Close attention to detail.Excellent analytical, written, and verbal business communication skills.Can-do attitude, self-starter, and willingness to learn.
