Intern - Hardware and Electrical Engineering

Visteon seeks a Summer Intern for 8-14 weeks to assist Hardware Electrical Engineers with developing and testing a variety of products including Battery Management Systems, Infotainment, Domain Controllers and Display Clusters.

As a Summer Intern at Visteon, you will assist Hardware Electrical Engineers in developing and testing a variety of products, including Battery Management Systems, Infotainment Domain Controllers, and Display Clusters. Your goal will be to ensure all products meet OEM quality expectations and are designed to given specifications through comprehensive hardware bench testing. 

Key Learnings & Project overview: 

Basic Measurements: Perform measurements using volt meters and oscilloscopes. 

Firmware Flashing: Flash firmware into hardware modules. 

RF Testing and Analysis: Conduct and analyze RF tests. 

Power Supply Testing: Test and evaluate power supplies. 

Thermal Testing: Perform thermal testing on hardware components. 

EMC Testing: Conduct EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing. 

Fault Injection Testing: Perform fault injection testing to assess hardware robustness. 

Prototype Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of prototypes to customers, ensuring timely and quality deliveries. 

Worse Case Analysis: Assist in conducting worse case analysis. 

Functional Safety Analysis: Support functional safety analysis efforts. 

Required Education and Experience:   

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 

Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical circuits, components, and systems. 

Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in using electrical measurement tools and software (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, MATLAB). 

Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
